6/20/2000 My ex emails me, "You need to resend copies of the
girls social security cards. The one's you just sent are not readable.
6/21/2000 My ex emails me again, "We can't read any of the numbers, you need to
recopy and resend. Rosemary's insurance requires copies of their birth
certificate and social security cards because they are her step children not
her natural children and because they do not live with us. When I get these so
they are readable then I will get a book of doctors for your area and you will
have to choose a primary care physician. This coverage will cover dental,
medical and eye care. To use any of these it appears you need to go through
the primary care doctor for a referral."
I respond, "I've never had to make copies of stepkids
ss card for Mark's insurance, or on my insurance for my stepkids in all these
Here's their #'s. If you still need copies Friday, let me
Note: I've shared with him over and over that our HMO's
co-pays won't be paid by his wife's insurance, and that it's orthodontic insurance we
need. My husband's dental covers the majority of the girls' dental bills.
My ex's past
job had orthodontic insurance. His wife's dental won't cover
orthodontic. He's not paying his share of the monthly orthodontic bills
that aren't covered by insurance.
I keep remembering the years he
neglected the kids, I didn't have insurance for them, and I had to pay full
price for each visit to the clinic when they got sick over and over again over
a period of time. I asked him for help - he coldly refused.
Then my health and dental insurance covered kids and
eventually stepkids, until I retired '98 to be a full-time mom (on DA financials
I just put the last salary I made, $24,000. I'm not trying to make my ex make up
the difference of my salary since I'm the one who chose stay home.)
My ex keeps breaking his arm patting
himself on the back that his wife is getting health and dental insurance
for the kids while he continues to be unemployed.
6/21/2000 My ex emails me, "Why is this so hard? They said they require
copies. Is it possible to [get] readable copies so I can get them on the Ins."
I respond, "Exactly. Why is this so hard? Give me the
name and phone # [of who to talk to]. We never had a problem before with just
giving the SS#s."
My ex doesn't respond.
9/2/2000 My girls return from 4 weeks at their dad's. Our 15yo
had taken her social security card in order to get her learner's permit while at
her dad's cuz she'd finished driver's training class the day before leaving for
her dads. He doesn't make a copy of her ss card. He never takes her driving.
His wife didn't get dental insurance. It was "too
expensive". 9/5/2000 I learn our 12yo has to have oral surgery. He
won't be helping with that expense.
My ex emails me,
of the monies for child support as of now are up to date except maybe 450.00.
The deductions were paid current through the end of Feb. and the government took
another $2800.00 that cleared all back debt plus the $147 that has been coming
out of the unemployment check every month leaves an amount around $3250.00 that
has been paid against child support since the end of Feb. against an amount of
$3464.00 for the same time period. Difference stilled owed to bring it current
would be about $468.00. But of course the case has been closed in Orange County
and wont be opened for about 30 to 90 days while it is all being transferred
to LA (??) so nobody knows anything until then."
I respond to my ex, "6/9 CA told me the arrears are over $1000, they nicely answered my questions, we
straightened out some misunderstandings and I said they could close the case and
transfer it to LA.
LA to my surprise called about 6/11 and told me they already took action on
the case (unaware of CA still not having closed it's case until CA and I talked
NV leaves me a voice mail message saying they are the "initiating
state" and they won't allow Orange Co to close their case per my request
and transfer it until I close the NV case. That contradicts her last
letter to me months ago, that I must open an LA County case before she'd close
the NV case. I refuse to close the NV case until she answers my questions about,
for instance, the $1600 [the federal tax return $ I haven't received
yet]. NV said she'd be informing Or Co that they can't close the
case. I'm letting them duke it out."
My ex didn't respond.
